Courses at TDA


At TDA, we love to see our students grow and understand the importance of versatile dance training, which is why we offer you a chance to study many diverse styles while also providing a number of specialized options and customized programs that suit the various needs of those who seek to further themselves in the field of dance.


Ballet 1 (2)

Featuring a full bare, center, and across the floor, this open-level ballet course focuses on the foundation of ballet technique. Balance, flexibility, proper body placement, turns, jumps, transition steps and vocabulary will be emphasized. Exercises and personalized corrections are designed to push the training to the next level. Classes meet In-studio for 1 hour twice weekly.

Jazz 1 (2)

This course will explore the foundation of Jazz Dance technique using a warm up, across-the-floor and center combinations. Attention will be given to improve strength, flexibility, expression, musicality and energy. Classes meet in-studio for 1.5 hours a week.

Hip Hop 1 (2)

This course introduces urban street movement while developing strong performance skills, musicality, and endurance using both choreography and freestyle dance. A history of Hip Hop dance and culture will be reviewed. Classes meet in-studio for 1.5 hours a week.

Contemporary 1 (2)

Take an emotional journey through movement with our foundation contemporary class. A technical warm-up and across the floor is followed by stylized combinations aimed at conveying feelings, emotions and experiences. Classes meet in-studio for 1.5 hours a week.

Bollywood (1.5)

Bollywood dance is in itself unique and covers various dance styles, all on Indian beats. This high-energy course introduces you to the popular style inspired by the film industry of India. Learn this dance form’s specific technique and unique performance style with a warm up and choreographed routines. Classes meet in-studio for 1.5 hours a week.

Jazz Funk (1.5)

This course explores the popular fusion of jazz and hip hop techniques into the contemporary medium of Jazz Funk. Classes include a warm up and highly stylized choreography. Classes meet in-studio for 1.5 hours a week.

Popping (1.5)

In this course, students will master the art of freestyle, concentrating on the isolation of certain muscle groups through “hitting”. Classes will focus on musicality mixed with intricate movement. Classes meet in-studio for 1.5 hours a week.

Stretch (1.5)

A dancer’s body needs a little extra attention. Our stretch class is geared towards the active working dancer and will serve as a conditioning tool to rapidly improve strength and overall flexibility while protecting your joints and muscles from injury. Classes meet in-studio for 1.5 hours a week.

Salsa (1.5)

This course includes the basic essentials of lead and follow movement. Students will learn patterns that will include basics like the natural turns, cross body leads, inside turns, outside turns and a spot turn. The instructor will also teach students how to connect with their dance partner and the music. Classes meet in-studio for 1.5 hours a week.

Breaking (1.5)

This freestyle class emphasizes musicality and highly athletic movement. Topics include basic up rock/top rock and floor work, incorporating acrobatic moves, strength and endurance. The b-boy culture will be studied and reviewed. Classes will meet in-studio for 1.5 hours a week.
